It is getting close, and on top of that we have 2 birthdays, a festival, and who knows what else going on this month. That is way I like to plan ahead, so that I am not running around like a chicken with my head cut off a few days before we leave.
I thought I would document some of my cruise/road trip questions and concerns before we sail so that I can address them when I get back to see what worked and what did not. So here are a few things on my mind.
1. My stroller. It is a great compact, expensive umbrella stroller. It works great and should be small enough not cause any trouble on the ship, but it does not have a sun shade. My little girl is sensitive to sunlight, but i just can not see spending 10- 40 bucks on a new stroller just for a shade. i will take the one i have and i hope i do not regret this.
2. The dolphin encounter: I have booked an excursion for the 3 of us and according to the website my 2 year old will be able to participate at no additional charge. The question is, will my daughter have a freak out about getting in the water with the dolphins? It is possible. I will be holding her and she does loves animals and has warmed up to being in the water, so we will just have to wait and see about this one.
3. Camp Carnival: As a parent, I always have concerns about leaving my kids in the care of other people. However, I also know that doing so is part of letting my children grow and experience things other than just sitting around the house with mom all the time. So, I am wondering how they will do with Camp Carnival.
4. Will the kids get board on board? I hope not. My vision is that we will spend plenty of time have fun together, the kids will hang out and make new friends in Camp Carnival, and then there are the pools. I know they are small and crowded, but I think the kids will like them anyway. Except, Sassy Diva wont be allowed to swim because she is not potty trained. She may not be happy about this.
